AMAZONS

The Amazon family is one the largest families of Parrots, consisting of over sixty different species. Amazon range from eight to twenty one inches. All are new world birds of well proportioned stocky builds and are predominately green in color. Amazons are excellent pets, Great talkers and have a very clown like personality. Those most widely kept as pets include, Double Yellow Heads, Panamas, Yellow Napes, Red heads, Spectacle, and Blue Fronts. All can be excellent talkers and make great companions. Amazons are long lived creatures, living up to eighty years.

CONURES
Conures are members of the Aratinga genus and have a wide range of colors and size. The to are new world parrots and range from Mexico south all the way to the cold regions of Patagonia. The characteristic of these birds is the long tail and slinder shape, with long tapering tails, large head, and large beak. Conures are like Macaws in miniature. However, some of the larger Conures are larger than some of the mini Macaws. Conures often become very tame pets and are quite affectionate. They also make fair talkers. The most common pet Conures include, Blue Crowns, Cherry Heads, Nandays Green Cheeks, White Eyes, Jendays, Suns, Peach Fronts And Half Moons.

COCKATOOS
The Cockatoo family comprises more truly exotic species than any other parrot-like family. All are adorned with striking crests and range in size from twenty-one inches to the grand size of twenty nine inches. This family also includes the ever popular cockatiel. The Cockatoos are native to Australia and a wide range of pacific islands. They are extremely intelligent, and many are great clowns. They are more active than other parrots and are quite long lived as well. Cockatoos make great pets and relish the attention of admiring humans. The most frequently kept pets include, Umbrellas, Moluccan, Sulpher Crested, Goffin and Bare Eyes.
